We supply award-winning speciality salads, edible flowers and heritage tomatoes to chefs, restaurants, pubs and caterers.

Because of our reputation for outstanding produce, we have grown our business purely through word of mouth.

We deliver our salads locally from our market garden in Ross-on-Wye, and use a courier to supply further afield in the Wye Valley area.

Please get in touch to discuss a new order and delivery of our award-winning produce. However, please be aware our salad and edible flower supplies are sometimes limited.

“Extraordinary and delicious, full of surprises.”

our speciality salads and edible flowers

We grow more than 150 varieties of leaves, herbs and edible flowers. Each salad we provide is unique as we pick and blend each one based on which leaves and flowers are freshest and best on the day.

We create each one with a balance of leaves, flowers and colours so you have a salad that is beautiful to look at and full of interesting flavour. We use edible flowers from a wide range of vegetables and herbs because they add colour and interest to the plate and bring an exciting variety of both sweet and savoury tastes.

Our salads and edible flowers are available from March to November. You can choose from our:

  • Chef’s Garden Salad

  • Chef’s Micro-leaf Flower Salad

  • Mixed Edible Flower Punnets

Our heritage tomatoes

We grow more than 80 varieties of gorgeous heritage tomatoes.

We grow all our tomatoes using minimum irrigation from harvested rain water. This gives them an intense, beautifully rich flavour.

Our tomatoes are available from June to October. We can provide mixed punnets of different coloured cherry or larger varieties.

how we grow our produce

We grow all our produce to organic principles, free from any chemicals.

This is all part of our natural and waste-free approach to our business. We leave them to ripen on the vine. We harvest rain water for irrigation, feed our soil with manure from local farms and stables, foliar-feed our salads with sustainably-produced liquid seaweed and compost all our green plant waste. We also hand-pick everything to order and use bio-degradable and recyclable packaging.

We do this because we want to limit our impact on the environment. And because we want to ensure you always have produce that is fresh, pure and bursting with natural flavour.

“Amanda’s beautiful produce is free of compromise and

full of flavour, commitment and care.”

When we started the company in 2010, we were known as Veggies Galore. The company quickly evolved into Wye Valley Salads and has recently grown to include our excellent Barba di Frate.

We’re led by Amanda Stradling, who has previous experience working as a photographer, gardener, florist and as plant buyer for Sir Mark Birley. Her work as a photographer and London florist shows in the artistry of her salads. Amanda has been growing vegetables for herself and her family for more than 35 years, including a three-year stint in the 40-degree heat of Oman.
